Wiki Translations

Wiki translations are sorely needed. We want to make Plex as accessible as possible to all users. To translate a wiki page follow these steps:

1. Find a page that needs translating. We suggest you start with the main page or one if it's direct links
2. Click edit and copy the source of that page
3. Create a new page appending /code to the page name URL (i.e. http://wiki.plexapp.com/index.php/Main_Page/se)
4. Translate a portion or all of the page.
5. Also translate the links so they point to corresponding translated pages. The links will show as red (bad), this will encourage others to help translate them.

Some things to note

• Links - For example [[Getting Started]] would be linked like the following [[Getting Started/sv|Kom-igång-guide]] This way the link is called the translation but it points to the /sv version. Also by default the link will point to an invalid page. This will help others find pages which they can translate.

• Language Template - At the bottom of each page you should find {{Languages}} This gets changed to reference the page you are translating like so {{Languages|Main_Page}}

• Language codes - Language codes can be found here make sure you use the appropriate one so the wiki can identify them.

• The English part of the wiki may change at any time. If you have time and can setup an RSS feed of Special:RecentChanges this would be very helpful. This feed tracks all changes and can help you easily keep your translations up to date.
