From Plex
Some notes to follow when updating from Plex RC3 and before:
Movie Fanart
Since changes have been made to the movie database to support fanart you will need to take the following steps to enable Plex to automatically scan for fanart on the internet.
Note: that these steps will remove all library information for your Movies! Once you have rescanned your movie library you will have added fan art but will be missing other information such as watched/unwatched status, Custom names, etc.
- In Plex navigate to Videos
- Using 'C' to bring up a contextual menu on your movies source(s) choose set content
- Set content of Movies Source(s) to none
- When prompted to "Unassign Content" Click Yes
- After Plex cleans your library go ahead and set content on your movie source(s) again
Remove Previous Mediastream installs
Since Mediastream is now the default skin for Plex you should ensure that you have uninstalled any previous versions. Doing this will ensure that you do not encounter any bugs that have been previously fixed. You can do this by removing the following folder:
~/Library/Application Support/Plex/skins/Mediastream
